Caritas Fellowship is a ministry of the Church of the Holy Communion to the Medical University of South Carolina community seeking to receive, live, and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through study, conversation, service, and sacrament.

Fr. Patrick Allen is priest associate at the Church of the Holy Communion and chaplain for Caritas Fellowship.  He studied for holy orders at Covenant Theological Seminary and the University of the South (Sewanee).  Prior to coming to Holy Communion, he served as rector of St. Matthew's Parish, Fort Motte, SC, and the Church of St. Joseph of Arimathea, Hendersonville, TN.  Fr. Patrick is married to Dr. Ashley Duckett, an internal medicine and pediatrics hospitalist at the Medical University of South Carolina; they have two children, Lucy and Henry.
